I do feel Agile Bits could be more receptive to their loyal customers' needs who sold 1Password to their friends, family, and clients, like by committing to a native app at some point in the future, grandfathering perpetual licenses via an upgrade, and grandfathering local vaults.īut why does it have three different styles of scroll bars? None which work exactly as the native scroll bars on MacOS (or Windows). The Mac beta feels like it doesn't fit in at all. The Windows app always felt like it fit in the least. It's kind of like the reason I was willing to pay was for constantly updated, native apps across (most! platforms. My issues are mainly the loss of a native app (affects the stability, speed and accessibility for me) the fact that I'm fairly certain Agile Bits themselves would have to admit in private this isn't a great thing and the fact that the local vaults I do use are just going to be yanked away. However, I do still have some local vaults that I use for various purposes, like backup, sharing, and to store my 1Password secret key since it's by far the easiest thing you could lose. 💙Īs a note, I've used the 1Password subscription service almost since it came out, so that's not the issue for me.
